How much can I expect to invest on branding?

Accepted Answer

Generally, you can expect to pay between $3,000 to $7,000 for custom brand development. Every business is different. Some need brand strategy, others need identity design, and others need a combination of both. It's my belief that you should only get what you actually need and nothing you don’t. I’d love to chat with you about your unique business goals and put together a custom project proposal and quote.

How long does the branding process take?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the scope. A brand strategy takes about three weeks. A brand identity takes four to six weeks. Strategy and identity design are typically eight to twelves weeks. If you're looking for a faster turnaround, shop the Studio's semi-custom brand kits.

Question 3

Can I just have a logo designed?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, no. A logo on its own is just decoration. Here at the Studio, a logo is always part of a brand's story. This requires big picture thinking and it's the only way we know how to work. As such, our approach to branding is rooted in strategy.

Do you offer web design services?

Accepted Answer

Website services are reserved for brand clients. We specialize in Wix website design but have trusted web partners to help build websites in Squarespace, Wordpress, and Showit.

Can I hire you for everyday design services?

Accepted Answer

Not unless you've developed your brand with the Studio. Our Brand Experience Support program includes design services from lead magnet creation, course and slide deck designs, to print materials and is reserved for existing and former brand clients of the Studio. Frankly, it's just easier to work with someone who knows your brand as well as you do.

Do you offer payment plans?

Accepted Answer

As projects range from four to twelves weeks, payment schedules are typically broken into monthly payments. We're always open to discussing a payment schedule that meets your needs. Just ask!

What unexpected costs should I anticipate with brand development?

Accepted Answer

There will never be any additional costs that aren't communicated ahead of time. Recommended brand fonts, stock imagery, or similar proposals during the branding process may require future licensing fees. But these are always discussed as options before moving forward. Anything beyond the scope of your branding agreement is generally billed at an hourly rate which, again, will always be communicated ahead of time.

Do you use AI in your brand development process?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but not in the ways you think. It's really quite boring really. I wrote a whole blog post about how I use AI in my branding process, you can read it here.

Question 9

What are my ownership rights once I receive my finalized brand?

Accepted Answer

Once your final payment has been received for your brand package, you are granted unlimited, perpetual and worldwide right and license to use, reproduce and display your final brand designs. I retain the rights to any unused brand ideas that were developed during the process and retain the right to display your brand designs as the original creator.
